Tunezilla - TuneZilla DQ381 Stage 1 Bootloader (Pre-Flashed Mechatronic) – Audi A3 8Y - TZ301BL-3
The TuneZilla DQ381 Stage 1 Bootloader is a complete transmission upgrade solution for Audi A3 8Y models equipped with the factory-locked 401 bootloader.
On these vehicles, the factory TCU cannot be flashed via OBD due to encryption. TuneZilla resolves this limitation by supplying a fully pre-flashed mechatronic unit, preloaded with their Stage 1 TCU calibration.
This is a physical hardware replacement, not a flash-only software product.
By replacing the factory mechatronic with the TuneZilla bootloader unit, users gain enhanced torque management, improved shift performance, and advanced transmission functionality not available from the factory.

The Stage 1 TCU software comes preloaded on the unit.
Designed to work optimally with TuneZilla ECU calibrations.
If running another company’s ECU tune, a high-torque file is required.
Running a third-party TCU calibration will void the warranty on the bootloader unit.
Professional installation is strongly recommended.

1x 0GC 927 377 – Mechatronic connector seal
1x 0GC 325 201 L – Outer cover with integrated seal
4x N 910 327 02 – Outer cover bolts
1x N 909 654 01 – Drain bolt/seal for mechatronic
1x N 043 809 2 – DSG drain plug seal
1x 0GC 325 183 A – DQ381 filter
1x N 910 845 01 – Filter housing O-ring
6L DSG fluid meeting VW specification G 055 529 A2

All orders of $499 or more being shipped within Canada qualify for free standard shipping. Additionally, orders less than $499 qualify for an exclusive low shipping rate.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

Warehouse Transfer We receive the item, then we ship it to remain on time with the guaranteed delivery range chosen at checkout. It typically takes between 6 and 12 business days before it ships.
