Stage 1 & 2 — Start Here

Running an iE Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU tune? The Stage 1 & 2 TCU Tune unlocks faster shifts, improved acceleration, a 6,800 RPM limit, and full power delivery. Perfect complement to a stock-turbo A4, A5, or Q5 dialed in with an iE ECU tune.

Stage 3 — Bigger Turbo (Required for iE Stage 3 Engine Tuning)

Running an iE Stage 3 hybrid turbo setup? You need the Stage 3 TCU Tune. The added output from iE Stage 3 ECU tuning and the TurboSystems hybrid turbo requires a dedicated transmission calibration to match. Stage 3 TCU features optimized shift scheduling, faster shift speeds, increased clutch capacity, and a 7,200 RPM limit to align with the turbo’s powerband.

INSTALLATION

Flashed at home using the iE POWERlink V4 dongle and iOS/Android app. The same step-by-step wireless process as the ECU tune — no laptop, no dealer, no ECU removal required. Live gauges, diagnostics, and data logging are available through the app before and after the flash.

DO I NEED A TCU TUNE?

Not required — but you’ll want one. iE ECU tunes include custom torque and line pressure strategies so your car runs properly without it. But the stock transmission still caps shift speed, RPM, and overall output. The iE TCU Tune removes those caps, unlocking the full potential of your iE-tuned drivetrain. If you’re running Stage 3, the TCU Tune is mandatory.

COMPATIBILITY

⚠ Important fitment notes:

• Compatible with DL382 DSG Gen 1 transmissions only.
• Not compatible with DL382G2 “Gen 2” transmissions. All 2021+ models use Gen 2. Some 2019–2020 vehicles may also be equipped with the unsupported Gen 2 unit — verify your transmission version before purchasing.
• iE ECU tunes include custom torque management that allows the engine to run at full advertised power even without a TCU tune on Gen 2 vehicles.
